Los Angeles Flu Shot Clinic Reservations

Flu shots are free to all DGA members and dependents ages 13 and older, regardless of Health Plan coverage status. The Cedars-Sinai Community Health Improvement Program is generously covering the cost of the flu shots in Los Angeles.

Flu Shot Types and Restrictions

  • Flu shots are free to all DGA members and dependents ages 13 and older, regardless of Health Plan coverage status.
  • The DGA Foundation has generously supported these annual events and will continue to cover the cost of the flu shots for participants not covered under the Health Plan in New York City. The Cedars-Sinai Community Health Improvement Program is generously covering the cost of the flu shots in Los Angeles.
  • A separate flu shot reservation is required for each person in your party. Reservations can be made online, using the buttons above. For assistance, contact the Plans Office at (323) 866-2216 or flushots@dgaplans.org.
  • Standard and high-dose flu shots are available at both locations. This year, all flu shots are preservative-free and, according to the CDC, are safe for patients with an egg allergy , pregnant or nursing.

Booking Your Appointment

When booking your appointment for the Los Angeles event, you will be taken to the state of California’s My Turn portal.

  1. To begin, you’ll be asked to select which vaccine you would like to schedule from a list of vaccines. Please select Flu. Any other vaccine type selected is not available and will not allow you to complete your reservation.
  2. Next, you will answer insurance coverage questions. Your responses to these questions will not impact your ability to register for the free flu shot.
  3. After agreeing to the disclosure, you will be able to select the date (September 13) and a time for your appointment.
  4. You will then be prompted to respond to a few more questions: demographics-related (e.g., race, gender, etc.), additional insurance, and ADA accommodation. Your response to these questions will not impact your ability to register for the free flu shot.
  5. The portal’s final steps will ask for your vaccine-related information and deliver a confirmation for your appointment with an appointment number.

Canceling/Rescheduling Your Appointment

  • To cancel or reschedule a reservation, locate and click the link for managing your appointment in your confirmation email or text message from My Turn. Follow the prompts until you receive a new confirmation.
  • For reservation assistance, contact the Plans office at (323) 866-2216 or email flushots@dgaplans.org.

What to Expect When You Arrive For Your Appointment

  • Upon arrival at your appointed time, follow the signs to the Flu Shot Clinic sign-in area. NOTE: If you are receiving the flu shot for the first time, expect to stay for 15 minutes following your shot to ensure there are no adverse reactions.
  • If you are experiencing a fever or flu-like symptoms on the day of your appointment, please do not attend the Flu Shot Clinic. You should cancel your appointment and consult your medical provider.
