CVS Updates Its List of Covered Medications Effective July 1, 2025

Effective July 1, 2025, CVS Caremark is updating its list of covered medications, referred to as its formulary. Changes to the formulary determine which medications are covered by the Health Plan and how much you pay out-of-pocket for prescriptions.

If you are currently taking a medication that will be excluded from the updated formulary, CVS Caremark should have already mailed you a letter with information on alternatives. It is good practice for all covered Health Plan participants to review the updated formulary for any status changes (e.g., step therapy requirements) or exclusions to your current medications.
