Mount Sinai Health System Facilities Are Now Considered Non-Network Under the DGA-Producer Health Plan, Effective March 4, 2026. However, Negotiations Are On-going.
Effective March 4, 2026, Mount Sinai Health System facilities are no longer part of the Anthem Blue Cross network and accordingly are considered non-network under the DGA-Producer Health Plan. This means the following provisions are now in effect:
- Effective March 4, 2026, inpatient services received at Mount Sinai facilities are no longer covered by the Health Plan unless for emergency services.
- Effective January 1, 2026, non-network cost sharing applies to covered outpatient services billed by Mount Sinai non-network physicians.
- If you are currently in an ongoing course of treatment at Mount Sinai and the DGA Producer Health Plan is your primary coverage (or your primary coverage does not cover the treatment you are currently undergoing), Anthem will continue to provide in-network coverage with network cost-sharing (deductibles, co-pays and co-insurance) under its Continuity of Care guidelines. Examples of conditions that qualify for Continuity of Care include cancer, pregnancy, ongoing treatments for serious and complex conditions, including mental health and substance use disorders, urgent surgeries that are already scheduled, hospitalization, and treatment for terminal illness. For more information on Continuity of Care guidelines, visit here.
If you think you may qualify for Continuity of Care coverage or have other questions regarding this information, please call the Health Plan’s Participant Services Department at (323) 866-2200, Ext. 401.
Anthem continues to talk with Mount Sinai leaders daily and remains committed to returning their doctors and hospitals to the Anthem network as soon as possible. For updates, visit www.anthem.com/update/mountsinai.
