Late Payment Notice

Although the Health Plan will accept your premium payment up to 30 days after your due date, you and your dependents will not be able to access your health benefits until your payment has been received. Please be aware that a late payment can also increase your out-of-pocket expenses.

Each week, we update our benefit managers—Blue Cross, Delta Dental, Express Scripts, and VSP—with a list of all participants who are eligible to receive benefits during the next week. If we have not received your premium by the due date, you risk being reported as ineligible during our next update to our benefit managers.

If you visit a doctor or try to fill a prescription before your premium has been received, you will have to pay full price for the service or medication. Once we receive your premium, you can submit a claim for reimbursement, but the Health Plan will only reimburse you up to the amount of the discounted price the Plan would have paid.

To maintain uninterrupted access to your health benefits and avoid additional medical expenses, it is best to avoid late payments by paying your premium online by credit card or bank account debit. For more information on online bill payment, call us at (877) 866-2200 ext. 402.
